    For twenty-five years, Olivia has stifled every thought and desire to survive her controlling society. But when a perilous encounter thrusts her into a fight for survival, her world shatters.

   Transported to Arde, a strange and wondrous land, Olivia discovers she has a pivotal role in its future, to fulfil a destiny given to her; to ‘Wake the Aspis.’

   She is found by four Guardians—The Guardians of the Aspis, warriors who each possess unique gifts. Among them is Brekt, an enigmatic Guardian harbouring his own secrets.
